Watch it in IMAX...Even though it's not 3D, I enjoyed watching it on a big screen...Many months ago, I was not interested to watch this movie because I don't like watching computer generated characters. After knowing that the director is James Cameron, I thought why not give it a try. In short, I didn't regret watching it...
I told Xiong that it is a costly production...He wonders the film makers are able to make money or not...Then I told him I'll promote the movie in my blog so that many people will go to watch...Anyway, it was just a lame joke, get it? Not that I'm a famous blogger and have thousands of readers, right?Haha...

Jump

Initially Xiong wanted to watch Storm Warriors...Since there were only front seats left for the time that we wanted, I suggested that we watched 'Jump'...By the way, the next day(which is today...haha), we heard many people commented that Storm Warriors is disappointing...Hehe, Luckily I didn't watch it...

This was some sort of silly but I guess it's much better than Storm Warriors...The girl's laugh was silly and her dance was weird...however when she danced properly in the end, I really enjoyed it! A rich, handsome playboy boss falling for a village girl seems impossible in real life but it is sure possible in this movie...

p/s:I have another makan-makan post but I have to postpone it because I couldn't upload photos(have yet to install cd for new camere!)

Genius is back

I can't stop admiring myself being such a 'genius'...I brought my laptop back from slim river but I din remember to take along the adapter...Now I'm using the remaining battery...furthermore my mouse is not functioning...I dunno what's wrong with it...Is it my fault that it hit something? Every time I get something spoilt after travelling...

I left the blog for nearly 2 weeks ady...Miss it a lot but don't have time to update(wanna show off the new camera that Xiong bought)...Initially I planned to update sekali gus today...However, since the genius me didn't bring back the adapter, I have to postpone my plan...Nowadays I can't really online in the library in hosp slim river...Put aside the tortoise speed, websites like my blog, nuffnang and facebook are blocked! That's why only till today that I realize I get buffered adv(happily jumping up and down)...Despite earning tak sampai 10cents for 3 adv so far, I'm still happy...

Going back to hosp slim river this sunday...Still have 3 more deliveries to go...I sincerely hope that I'm not having bad luck...

Give me 2 more weeks...I shall be actively blogging again...

Today I scrubbed in as second assistant(which was quite redundant) in an elective lower segment caesarean section...I was happy that I finally could finally drape a real patient but guess what, I did a mistake that is my hand kena the drip stand while draping...Sigh, had to go and change another pair of gloves. By the time I was ready, they already finish draping. Really didn't help much but at least I had a taste of standing next to the table...Ya la, i know I'm such lousy that I didn't scrub in during surgical posting...

In the afternoon I went to colposcopy clinic...Met a very nice experienced doctor who is not garang and likes to teach...Made me ashame of my inadequate basic knowledge...

Today I felt very lucky because I managed to conduct one delivery without waiting very long...Patient's os was already 9cm when she reached labour room...ya, my so called delivery was just holding the baby's head together with the midwife and she pulled it out for me...Then I clamped the cord, cut it and then delivered the placenta...Thank god it was an uneventful case...And I was lucky that Jian Yang was there to tell me what to do...This was the first time in this year that I went to labour room to conduct. For sure I have forgotten many things.

Can't wait for tomorrow to end. Tomorrow night need to go labour room again...So scared!

Nam Heong

6.11.2009 Xiong and I went to Pudu Raya because I was going home...Since there was still some time before my bus arrived, we went for lunch in Petaling Street...Oh god, I felt like it was ages ago...

First attraction was that it is air-cond...Secondly, it has quite a lot of customers...Maybe it’s a hint that the food is good...haha.

These were the dishes that we ordered...

Generally I like the food...Xiong likes the asam fish because it was sour enough...

2012

Initially this was just a movie that I wanted to accompany Xiong to watch...

Before we watched it, there were many people said that it was good...Beside that, I dunno whether the reason was the weekend or the movie was really so nice, we nearly couldn't buy the ticket...That made me curious about it!


Anyway, it is obviously not a lousy movie but just that sometimes it drags too long in some scenes that made me bored...laughter+boring=neutral...haha

Two weeks in Slim River( Part 2)

3.Oncall

There was not even one admission on my first oncall...Did a few dextrostix on newborns, celebrated Jannah’s birthday and slept at 12am...Later went to SCN again to do capillary blood sampling...Couldn’t press enough of blood from the heel. That’s why the nurse took over...:(

Second time of oncall...There was one admission but no body woke us up...Knew it in the morning...I slept from 10pm to 5am...Just did one urine dipstick...Don’t feel like oncall at call because not tired...

4.Entertainment

I brought my laptop there partly because I needed to read the power point presentation for a seminar and partly because it’s my sole entertainment source...In the second week, I got a game from a friend. In the game,we were supposed to be a detective-finding clues and solving puzzles...I liked finding clues but I wasn’t patient in solving puzzles...Therefore I took the shortcut(by looking the tips that my friend saved from the web) and finished the game shortly...

5.Food

The food in the hospital cafe is quite of if you don’t mind the lack of variety...Sometimes I would order fried rice as my dinner before the cafe closed at 5.30pm...There are some chinese restaurants but I just had chance to try once in 3 different restaurants respectively.

P/s:Today I just knew that I’m going to Slim River again for O&G posting...

Two weeks in Slim River( Part 1)

1) Accommodation

The condition of the house that we stayed was not comparable to that in Teluk Intan. However, since that were just four of us in a house, it was quite comfortable.

2) Hospital

  It is within walking distance from the place that we stayed.

Within the first three days, we were given two warnings/kind reminders from the specialist. Most of the time, it’s about punctuality but sometimes there was misunderstanding.

We had a comfy air-conditioned room. It’s the oncall room where we slept at night. However, during the daytime you still find people sleeping there...(Thanks for the models above. I have blurred their face. Hehe.)

p/s: I’m lazy to write…that’s why I separate it into parts...Dunno when I’ll write part 2...Hehe...

The Time Traveler’s Wife

A movie adapted from a novel.

I like movies about time travelling...I never get to understand how it started...I believe that that’s a beginning but it is more like a circle with no beginning...Thinking too much will only cause me headache...

It’s not easy to be the spouse of a special man...She has to accept that her husband will disappear at any moment...It’s funny that she can still bear his child after his vasectomy because she slept with the other ‘him’ from other time. This is not cheating on husband.

I feel sad that he is dead in the end. However if he doesn’t die, that’s nothing interesting anymore, right? hehe...

Dinner at Emperor Q@Pavilion

It was almost 9pm when we reached Pavilion on Friday night...I don’t usually have dinner so late but that day I just came back from Slim River...

We ordered ‘har gao’ in the end. I forgot to take photo of it because the shop was going to close soon and I wanted to finish it fast...Generally the food was acceptable la.

Inglourious Basterds

Xiong insisted that I would sleep while watching this movie but I didn’t...I never had history of sleeping in cinema but you did, ok?

This movie is about two and a half hours or even more(just estimation)...Even though it was long but I didn’t realize it coz I didn’t look at the time...It was divided into chapters, so feeling like reading a book... I won’t say I like it very much but it’s not too bad...Maybe I enjoyed watching Brad Pitt with thick accent and beautiful Mélanie Laurent(as Shosanna Dreyfus in the movie). Not forget to mention, Landa, the central antagonist. Nicknamed Jew Hunter, he was an awesome detective to search for hiding Jews and even able to capture the Basterds...

Just realize one thing when I browsed through wikipedia i.e. Maggie Cheung did take part in filming this movie as Madame Mimieux. However, her scenes were cut for length reasons.

Won an Olay Natural White Cream

Still remember I joined this contest?For many times I was kicked out of weekly top 5 who vie for a bottle of Olay Natural White Cream(rm23)…Emm, I guess other people aim for the monthly prize but I didn’t because I knew it was too hard for me...

Finally I gave up and didn’t even bother to check the scores again since the contest would be end on 14 Oct...Surprisingly, two days ago I received an sms congratulating me in winning the weekly prize and asked for my mailing address...Anyway, I did waste a lot of time in game and it’s good that at least I get something back...I hope I didn’t type the wrong mailing address...Haha...

I shouldn't have gone to Clinique in Lot 10

We are supposed to get one sample of All about Eye(eye cream) which worth from Clinique by showing an Clinique sms. The last day for this offer is today...

I went to its counter in Lot 10 two days ago. I realized that it was a BIG mistake for me to go there...There were 2 other chinese girls wanted to redeem the eye cream...Hence the promoter gathered 3 of us and gave us a lecture...The first question she asked was 'What is healthy skin'...None of us answered her...Why she sounded and acted so much like a lecturer and make me feel disgusting...She spent one hour on us(including the time she went away to serve other customers and left 3 of us talking to each other)...After 1 hour of lecture and promoting the product, she asked which one we wanted to buy...(of coure I believe deep inside her heart, she knew that we're not going to buy any)...Finally we got the eye cream but not the 5ml one as mentioned in the sms...She just gave us a pitifully small amount and said:you just want to try, right?Please la, if you want people to buy your product, you need to let them use the product and see the effect,k? What made me burst was that the 2 girls told me that they just came from Clinique in Pavillion and the samples was given easily without so much nuisance...Oh god, I swear I won't to the Lot 10's or whichever counters if I were to see her face again!

The product itself is not a problem...I just don't like the attitude of the promoter...or maybe all promoter are supposed to act like that?

PRHO D3-Depress

Act as if i'm very pity...just don't bother me...I'm going to sleep now...tomorrow continue restraining myself from the thought of stopping the children's crying with a pillow...wahahaha...>evil laugh<

PRHO day 2 of life

ya, i considered my PRHO week started on sunday since my team oncall on sunday...the next one will be on thursday...My life still bearable and I m grateful for that(despite my non stop complaints...but complaining does make me feel better...so why not keep it on for this week?) Dr expects more in this 4th week but I m very sorry to say that I surely not up to standard...waiting for doom day on thurs...

the other sad thing is that I dont have much time for my blog...that's why I m mumbling here on monday...number of unique visitors has been dropping...:( coz I wont update this kind of post to innit...without Xiong, I have nothing to write about food and movies...Been prisoned in the hospital compound for 2 weeks...

Just one more week and I'll be in heaven!

Next weekend is the only hope that keeps me moving on...

I'll finish my PRHO week by then and shall have my mini CEX done!
Xiong is coming back after not seeing him at all for 2 weeks...

Ang Pau or present?

Ang pau-I guess no one will dislike it. With cash, you can buy whatever you like. But the problem is I’m yet to be married...For me, ang pau is usually given by those who already married...The second point is I’m still an unemployed fellow...I think my heart will bleed more than my purse if I give cash...Third, I’m going to pre-wedding party, not the wedding dinner itself wo...It looks weird if I give ang pau, doesn’t it?

Present- We decided to buy present lo. 3 of us shared a present(so that I can buy a more expensive present?) Emm, what to buy? Actually we have bought one present and a card...I just wanna know what usually people buy for newly wed couples...Mind to enlighten me? Who knows there are more to come...For godsake, give me some ideas and save my scarce brain juice...Haha...

The Wreck That I found

In case you can’t see it properly, this is the wreck of my bicycle(during my childhood)...

Few days ago I went to my grandparents’ house. I was looking for my old little red bicycle which surprising still exist...I didn’t see it and thus I asked my cousin for its whereabouts. I was told that one of its tyres was no longer functioning and it was thrown to the backyard(as you can see above)...The other one of its tyres was ‘transplanted’ to other bicycle. I was ‘glad’...Haha...Even though it died but part of it still got to live on...you know, like organ donation...

It once had its glorious ages. I used to have its accompany, from four wheels to two wheels...That’s how I learnt to cycle...I cleaned it with tissue paper...Haha...

On September 12, 2009, Usui's family reported him missing from his hometown of Kasukabe when Usui did not return from hiking in nearby Gumma Prefecture. Saitama Prefecture. Police began searching for him at the family's request on September 15 and expanded their search to nearby prefectures. On September 19, 2009, a body with clothes matching those described in the report filed by Usui's family was found at the bottom of a cliff on Mount Arafune in the Gunma Prefecture. My Birthday Dinner-18 Sept

Finally my birthday this year was not in end-sem holiday...It was quite a pleasant day despite I still had to go to ward in the morning...Felt grateful enough because it’s an half day holiday due to coming hari raya...

Initially we planned to go for free movie in GSC with our birthday vouchers but the movies that I was interested in weren’t listed *...Well, we just aborted the plan...Haha...

After hanging around in mid-valley doing nothing, we went to Pavillion’s TGI Friday’s...There’s a purpose for going there...

Well, for the last visit, it stated that we can have a free sizzling fajitas on our next visit provided that we fill in the feedback form online...I did and got a code at the end of the feedback...We really had no idea about what a sizzling fajitas was...Since it was free, I thought it was something in small portion and may be an appetizer...I was proved totally wrong when I first looked at the menu...It costs rm33-rm36 for each chicken, beef or mixed fajitas...This was utterly worth...

The sizzling fajitas(chicken& beef)...Xiong likes it very much to the extend that he forgot his jaw pain.

I forgot to bring my room keys+ card AGAIN

Oops I did it again...This was horrible when it happened in Raya eve when 99% of residents in KTDI had gone back to their hometowns...

I was walking back to the hostel when I saw a cat pitifully meowing at the hostel gate, sounded like it wanna get out. Since I was in a good mood, I planned to use my card to open the gate for it...Then I realized that I didn't have my keys!

When I looked up to my block, there was no light except one room...I was very happy that at least someone was there to open the gate for me...The excitement didn't last more than 1 second because I realized that it was my own room...Oh God!

I called yee pin, only to realize that she no longer stayed in Block E...Saw sze chet but she couldn't help since she stays in different block...Finally I saw chau yen's housemate still have her light on...Called chau yen but her hp which contained the housemate's number was left at home...Went to the guard but was asked to go to Pejabat Keselamatan in the hospital...Went back to chau yen's block and shouted hello hello...Two heads popped out of the window and saved my day...

It's not easy to be a Big Head Prawn...

It’s the convocation season!

I thought I wouldn’t able to come back from Teluk Intan for my seniors’ convocation...`THANK’ to a 2-day programme held in this weekend, we are compulsory to come back. This indirectly allowed me to meet seniors. Anyway, they had one ceremony in PPUKM today and the other one in UKM Bangi tomorrow.

I didn’t expect that I could meet them thus no present was prepared...With my messy hair after hours of journey I went to find my buddy...

First successful branula insertion

I know it's not a big deal for many people but it means a lot to me...

Finally I inserted a branula in ward today...I am already 5th year but now only I manage to insert one successfully...Of course the patient has a big beautiful vein...However, I sort of screw it up because the patient bled quite a lot due to my inept technique...His family members were nearly screaming and made me panic...

ya, now I don't have to look at Xiong's vein with greedy eyes ady...

The Big Bet

I should have written an entry here aeons ago but was not able to due to laziness ^.^

Anyway here I am writing my first ever entry in a blog. So here is a recap of what I have been doing this past week. As pying went to HTI (Hospital T. Intan) this week, I decided to take the opportunity to starve myself a little bit. You must be wondering why I want to starve myself right? Well it’s because of an insane bet I made with my friends few weeks ago. I bet with them that I would shed 2 kg in 1 month, and this Friday is the day I have to weigh in front of them to see my progress!!! If i lose i have to give them a treat, if i win good for me...i mean what kind of bet is that and why am i so stupid to accept it at that time, i also dunno.

To complicate things for myself, I had constipation for 4 days and last week my weight was 69.4kg!!! The feces that were impacted inside my colon must have weigh 1.4kg because previously I was 68kg.

Anyway I bought some cabbage and chicken keel so that I can cook it for dinner this whole week. My plan of cooking failed miserably as I was so tired every day after coming back from ward. Somehow I managed to cook it on Tuesday and the result is as the picture below.

Tasted horrible, atrocious, nan chi, pai ciak, tak sedap, im hou sek, even though I was so hungry at that time.

Dunno why some people said cooking it that style will taste good :( bluff people… Not going to elaborate how I cook it, it’s taxing. Because I used 2 hours to cook it, 2 freaking hours!!! Can u imagine that….

On Thursday, I just cook the remaining cabbage and chicken keel without rice. Hai seem like I was born without any talent in cooking, as this time I screw it up again. For the second time this week I need to eat disgusting food…at least I am the one that cook it….if not I will definitely boycott the shop forever. Sleep early that night because I was so tired from the cooking and washing =.=

So Friday finally arrived, and I was nervous because I knew I will definitely lose my bet. Screw my big mouth for betting it in the first place. Oh rewind a bit, so as I said I sleep early last night, so I woke up 3 something in the morning, read some books then..gruuu….gruuu. I look around but see no one. So I proceed reading. But i was a little uneasy as it was cold and very quiet night. Again the sound appeared, and this time even louder GRUUU….GRUUUU. So i began to search high and low for the sound. Finally i found it.....it's Mr tummy grumbling ^.^ So to pacify mr tummy, I went to McD for breakfast.

Its 4 something in the morning so that’s the only place to go though I know it’s fattening. What la today have to weigh in front of people now still go eat McD. Hai if want to lose also lose with a bit o dignity right. Anyway off I go to McD and grab a fillet o fish. It has the least calories besides sausage McMufin. So after I ate it, I went back straight away. Half way mr tummy grumbles again…gruuu…gruuu.

What la I just ate, you still grumble. GULUUU…GULUUU. Then suddenly I felt a sharp pain at the umbilicus area. With each ticking of the clock the pain get more and more excruciating. So I sped home and release the time bomb...3 TIMES!! Finally what a relieve, as this week 4 days no BO.

Later in the morning, when i weigh in front of my friend. Guess what i lose 2.4 kg!!! But i still lose the bet as i gained an extra 1.4kg during that period and now still get 1kg deficit. Anyway i am happy with the result because it shows that it is possible to lose weight if you diet (p/s: eat the disgusting food that i cook. erm 2days in a week is enough.) and exercise a bit (15minutes jog, 1 day per week ;P).

So to everyone out there that want to lose weight can contact me. I will give you all consultation on how to lose 2.4kg in 5 days. But must pay for consultation fee. Eh where get free things in this world right.

The good thing about my diet regime is, you can even eat McD. Wink ^.^

To summarize everything, never bet with people unless you are confident of winning. Cos now i will be a few bucks poorer -.-

Won't say much here...It's 3.15am and I need to get some sleep before catching the bus to Teluk Intan at 8am...Having panda's eyes already...Sob...Sob...

Maybe will write something about it when I'm back or whenever I'm free...Didn't have a decent camera...hence I didn't capture much photos...

I should be in the bus now...should be one more hour from my home...should be attending grandpa's birthday celebration tomorrow...should have taken a lot of photos with my relatives...should be coming back to kl tomorrow's evening...should blog about my grandpa's birthday...

But I am still stuck in KL...stuck in my room...cleaning my floor, washing my clothes(ok la, the washing machine did), iron my clothes, choosing what clothes to be brought to Teluk Intan, sorting out the mess on my table...blogging about why I am still here...

My mind was out of order when I heard that tickets to lumut were sold out...What happen? is there a holiday?
