Olympic Day Run 2009

My first successful run! 7km...

The first marathon that I took part was way back in 2003...It was organized by my school.It turned out to be a mess for me as on that morning my menses came and I had dysmenorrhea...I didn't manage to finish it...:(

Hence I was very nervous this morning as I was afraid of any unexpected things to happen...Luckily everything went as smooth as the wind.

We went there by lrt...From Bandar Tun Razak to Masjid Jamek...We didn't actually know how to walk from lrt to Dataran Merdeka...Since there were people heading to the place, we just follow them...The first thing we went there was to go to the toilet...Haha...Later on we went for registration which started at 7am. Before the run started, we chatted no stop until we felt thirsty at the very beginning...Haha...

As the clock on Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad hit 7.30am, we started off our journey...Wei wen, Shi Hui, Su Xuan and Chee Kwang had no problem to run ahead of me...Like I always said, my incapability to run fast was inborn(however after today I feel that maybe I just lack of training.)

I had to tell myself to keep steady and not to be intimidated by those who ran past me. Listening to Hannah Montanna's songs did distract me from realizing how far I had run. The weather was just nice although I was worried that it might rain at the beginning.

I started to have abdominal pain after 20 minutes of running...Then I alternate running and walking beside sight-seeing those uncountable luxurious bungalows that we passed by. I took 65minutes to finish the marathon...I know I'm very lousy la but I seldom exercise,k? I am satisified as long as it's within 70-minute qualifying time.

After Xiong and I reached the finish line, we went to take some drinks...Milo and Ribena...Initially we wanted to wait for the lucky draw but it was very late...Thus we headed to Burger King to have our meals before we went back to hukm...
