New Year without new resolutions as usual- maybe I know I won't strive to fulfill anything. Haha.

Anyway, a blog post on first day of 2014 to kick start the year and of course to clean the spiderweb of my blog also! (which by the way is back dated but pretend to be written on the same day by its lazy owner.)

Surprisingly, an outing on 1/1/2014 was out of my expectation. I thought I would only rot in the room for the whole day. We went to Pavillion to watch Police Story 2013 which I really wished the movie end as soon as possible. Before watching movie, we had dinner at Ippudo. Really like the ramen although hubby thought that the soup tasted too porky. 

First time uploading photos taken by the new camera , Canon EOS-M, which was bought on Christmas eve. Buying this camera is another story of how I can be easily influenced by the salesman. All the surveys for Nikon D5200 and Canon 700D have gone down the drain. Despise myself. But honestly, maybe mirrorless camera, as compared to DSLR, is more suitable for lazy people like me.

Finally fulfilled my dream to go to Penang for food hunt...haha...

This year didn’t go anywhere special for birthday but at least must have a special birthday dinner for both of us : )

*we didn't purposely order for goose liver but can taste it from the salad portion...

Grilled sea scallops with wild mushroom fricassee and Port wine sauce

Mountain honey roasted duck breast, confit shallots and fricassee of vegetables with sundried tomatoes

Grilled chicken breast with morels mushroom sauce, fresh herbs risotto and caramelized carrots

Crème brulée with raspberries

*too sour for my liking…prefer the mango tiramisu…

I forgot when I went there...probably one month ago...I lost track of time since I start working...

I’m not a beef lover but I like the ribs(as above) very much...hope can go to eat again...haha...

Actually this post is not very related to the title...I just don’t know what to put...i should be packing my stuff now instead of entertaining my blog...

I just came back from Xiong’s house. The one in Sungai Pelek. On the first day we found these kittens in the storeroom...His father forgot to close the windows when they left the house and there came the cat and her three little cute kittens, hidden behind a large box unnoticed until the kittens meow...Before realizing the presence of kittens, Xiong was trying to chase the mother cat out of the house but found that she was reluctant...Finally she was chased out and Xiong put the three meow meow into a box and left it outside the house with hope that the mother would come to pick them up...Before returning the kittens to their mother, I took some pictures and played with them first...(actually I don’t like cats so much...Just that these kittens were too small and cute)

Sakae Sushi

It has been a while since we last had meal in Leisure Mall...The shop with mice running around was no longer there...New shops like Big Apple, Subway, Old Town White Coffee and Sakae Sushi seems to upgrade the environment...

This was the first time visiting Sakae sushi...I like to order through computer...Haha...Nice food:)

2 in 1 post...I’m very lazy busy ma...

1.In Family Medicine posting, we are required to find a patient and do a home visit as our family case study...After an ‘ordeal’, I found a patient(the 2nd that I met actually) who stays in Ampang...It’s not the place that I usually hang out...Thanks to Google map, I located her house quite easily...It only took us 15 minutes to reach her house from ppukm since there was no traffic jam...We reached an hour earlier than the appointment time...Thank God everything went smoothly...I’m very grateful to the patient since there are many people who unwilling to let us(strangers) visit their home.

2. There is a shop(Home Town Yong Tau Fu) near Ampang Point that Xiong used to go. Since we were already somewhere near by, we as well dropped by to have lunch...I don’t like Yong Tau Fu very much, so I wouldn’t comment on the food...

Yes, I'm such a procrastinator. This happened last year...

Before we went to watch Avatar for second time(3D this time), we went for dinner at 十号胡同@Lot 10...Besides the bak kut teh, the other food that we ordered were so-so.

6.11.2009 Xiong and I went to Pudu Raya because I was going home...Since there was still some time before my bus arrived, we went for lunch in Petaling Street...Oh god, I felt like it was ages ago...

First attraction was that it is air-cond...Secondly, it has quite a lot of customers...Maybe it’s a hint that the food is good...haha.

These were the dishes that we ordered...

Generally I like the food...Xiong likes the asam fish because it was sour enough...

Dinner at Emperor Q@Pavilion

It was almost 9pm when we reached Pavilion on Friday night...I don’t usually have dinner so late but that day I just came back from Slim River...

Xiong’s rice.He liked the chili sauce...

We ordered ‘har gao’ in the end. I forgot to take photo of it because the shop was going to close soon and I wanted to finish it fast...Generally the food was acceptable la.
